Overview
Locksmith-Mount Sinai West Performs various types of locksmith operations, including the installation, repair and/or replacement of locking devices and door hardware. Keeps key shop equipped with equipment and supplies. Operates key making machine. Installs all types of locks including master locks. Responsibilities
Key cutting and the installation, repairs, replacement, and maintenance of locking devices. Uses only approved key blanks purchased from authorized vendors. Utilizes equipment for key cuts in a safe manner in accordance with the manufacturers’ operating guidelines. Performs inspection and preventative maintenance of locking devices throughout the Medical Center. Informs the Security/Engineering Department if locking devices are being compromised or deliberately broken. Repairing, locking and door opening and closing mechanisms. Rebuilding parts to be used on locking devices, assembling and fitting parts together. Installs screw type door knobs, duplicates and delivers keys. Must provide own tools as needed. Qualifications
