life insurance, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan Oct 09, 2025 We are supporting our long term client in hiring an experienced professional to manage and evolve the company's core services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Email, Google Workspace, Identity Management, RADIUS) and drive Linux-based environments. Responsibilities include: Administering enterprise infrastructure systems and services (DNS, DHCP, LDAP, Email, etc); Identity Management systems and authorizations management and the related single sign-on; specification, design, implementation, testing, administration, maintenance and documentation of Linux-based compute hosts, file servers, storage subsystems and related services; Writing and modifying infrastructure service scripts in shell, Perl and Python; Participates in team projects and goals, stays current on industry practices and leading technologies and enhances work flow of system problems and resolution. Managing work flow of system problems and resolution; Strategic planning for future server environments; Provide EIP representation on company-wide committees; Working with EIP management to oversee acquisition, hardware and software standards, installation and maintenance, and troubleshooting of the enterprise server environment. Bachelor's degree in computer-related field 8 - 12 Years Experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience Expert knowledge of operating systems and networks in heterogeneous environments. Specifically, Red Hat Linux or derivatives Advanced knowledge of installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and tuning procedures and interoperability constraints for computer and network hardware and software from multiple vendors Expert ability to adapt, integrate and install externally developed software Advanced knowledge and support for complex enterprise class services such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, Federated identity configurations, and authentication systems Advanced skill in allocating system resources Ability to work in a team environment effectively with members on different schedules Ability to stay current on industry practices and leading technologies Willingness to share information and collaborate with other systems administrators Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal working hours Linux, python, shell script, perl, Red hat, Scripting, System administrator Works as a team member responsible for enterprise operation services. Collaborates and works closely with technical groups within EIP and all of the organization on server and supporting infrastructure coordination. This computing environment is heterogeneous consisting of OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Linux and Windows server systems. Many systems are high availability configurations and support critical functions for the entire organization including DNS, Web Services, Computer/Network Security, Cloud platforms and services, Backups, and Virtualization clusters. Primary systems administration skills will be supporting and configuring Linux systems, DNS and DHCP. Initiates and assists in planning and installation of enterprise systems and services for EIP. Manages workflow and provides superior levels of customer support keeping customers and other stakeholders consistently informed in both written and verbal communication. Develops and maintains advanced processes and standards to increase system functionalities and efficiencies. Enhances the enterprise environment by continuously developing and implementing systems. Participates in AGILE principles for project management. Provides in-depth and on-demand assistance to users and other systems administrators on operating systems commands, usage, systems hardware and some software. Manages workflow and updates information through use of a common help desk. Resolves problems and requests in minimum time in an efficient and effective manner. Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with vendors. Tracks technology or processes and recommends changes to existing products or services to better aid the end user or improve efficiency of work environments and efficient use of equipment purchasing funds. Attends conferences, seminars, and training to stay current on industry practices. Expert Level The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
