Job Description
The role involves defining, maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting software and hardware for corporate Linux servers, focusing on Oracle Sun Solaris and various Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, and Rocky Linux. Responsibilities include supporting research, clinical development, and business units; interacting with internal customers and IT personnel; managing configurations, upgrades, patches, backups, and restores; ensuring security and high service levels; developing documentation; tuning system performance; writing SOPs; researching new technologies; developing technical requirements; monitoring logs and alerts; supporting multi-site solutions; performing enterprise-wide administration; and maintaining hardware and OS health. The candidate will also support system upgrades, security patches, server installation and support, preventive maintenance, log review, network monitoring, training staff, and collaborating with vendors and other departments. Additional duties include installing security tools, analyzing hardware requirements, upgrading software, maintaining system security, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting applications, and working with Linux-compatible applications. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field. 3-4 years of relevant experience; 2 years if holding a master's degree. Certifications such as Microsoft MCSE, Cisco, CompTIA Server+, VMware, and Red Hat are preferred, indicating skills in UNIX or Windows server administration, RAID, recovery, command-line tools, and network troubleshooting. In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions including RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux. Experience with MySQL/MariaDB, VMware, SAN management, scripting (Shell, Perl, Python), and protocols (DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, SNMP). Additional Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE, LPIC) are advantageous. Knowledge of computers, electronics, and digital technology is required. Willingness to relocate or travel. Submission Guidelines
