We are seeking a seasoned and forward‑thinking HR Manager to help elevate our workforce strategy, enhance employee experience and align HR initiatives with business objectives. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to department leaders and collaborate with HR and cross‑functional teams to drive impactful change. You’ll lead workforce planning efforts, champion employee engagement, and ensure seamless execution of core HR programmes.

Your ability to analyze HR data and translate insights into action will shape decisions and strengthen our organisational culture. From managing employee relations to fostering a culture of collaboration and service excellence, your leadership will help power our continued growth.

Responsibilities

Regional Focus – Western Operations

  • Provide HR support for projects, field sites, and offices across the Western region.
  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment for field and office roles, including sourcing, interviews and onboarding.
  • Guide leaders on employee relations, investigations and performance management.
  • Partner with operations on workforce planning, succession readiness and organisational design.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labour laws, including California, Oregon and Washington.
  • Conduct site visits to support field employees, reinforce company culture and address concerns.
  • Oversee onboarding, orientation and training programmes tailored to field operations.
  • Conduct exit interviews and report retention trends to leadership.

Strategic & Shared Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with East Coast HR leadership to maintain alignment on HR policies and initiatives.
  • Partner with the HR Director to execute company‑wide HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Use HR metrics and dashboards to identify trends and guide data‑based decisions.
  • Support performance management systems, engagement surveys and HRIS implementations.
  • Drive consistency and transparency in HR processes across all divisions.
  • Contribute to culture‑building, recognition and employee engagement programmes.
  • Support organisational change efforts, including restructures, policy updates and communication plans.

Administrative & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
  • Administer benefits, leaves of absence and employment status changes.
  • Stay current with labour regulations, safety requirements and industry HR best practices.
  • Enforce AIS policies and safety standards across all levels of the organisation.

About you

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP, PHR/SPHR) strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 5‑8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2‑3 years in a managerial or HRBP capacity.
  • Proven experience supporting multi‑site or regional operations, ideally across both West and East Coast locations.
  • Construction or infrastructure industry experience highly preferred.
  • Strong background in employee relations, performance management and talent acquisition.
  • Experience with compliance across multiple states, especially California, Oregon and Washington labour laws.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing HR programmes such as onboarding, training, engagement and workforce planning.

Skills & Competencies

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a MUST.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and employment practices.
  • Excellent communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving skills.
  • High degree of integrity, discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficient in HRIS and ATS systems, and skilled with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to use data for decision‑making.

Work environment

  • Office‑based with regular site visits to construction projects.
  • Standard weekday schedule with flexibility for field or urgent HR needs.
  • Occasional travel required across regional job sites.
  • Must be comfortable working in construction environments with PPE when needed.
