We're Hiring: Support Operator 1!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Operator to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in providing exceptional customer support and system monitoring.

Location: Aiken, SC
Work Mode: Work From Office
Role: Support Operator 1
Shift Hours: 3:15 PM – 1:45 AM (ensure candidates are comfortable with this timing)

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various equipment on the weld and machining floor.
  • Perform machining tasks such as deburring, rolling, shearing, beveling, grinding, and notching on a variety of materials.
  • Handle welding-related operations including de-oxidizing, sandblasting, pressure testing, oven operations, fixture selection, and press work.
  • Configure machine controls, install tools, fixtures, tapes, and programs, and operate machines efficiently.
  • Load and unload parts onto machines and fixtures from pallets or containers.
  • Use hand tools, ratchets, air tools, and other devices to secure parts and fixtures.
  • Machine parts according to blueprint specifications.
  • Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot issues and recommend or implement corrective actions.
  • Operate hoists, pallet jacks, or forklifts to move parts, materials, containers, and fixtures to and from storage areas.
  • Complete paperwork for work orders, labor/time reporting, quality records, and related documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Train other team members.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary and appropriate for the position.

Skills Required

  • Apply shop math, interpret blueprints, and calculate dimensions accurately.
  • Reach up to 50 inches, lift 30 pounds, and apply 30 pounds of torque to ratchets to load and unload parts on machines.
  • Understand and follow safety policies, procedures, and machine features.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, interpersonal, communication, time management, and planning skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Some industrial experience.

Experience Required

  • Previous work experience in related tasks.

Education Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
