Responsibilities

• Develop detailed manufacturing plans for new programs requiring new equipment or retools.
• Prepare sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for major outside tooling and equipment purchases.
• Gather product information, production rates, and assembly requirements from customer contacts.
• Train and support equipment operators during launches; provide reference and support resources.
• Maintain process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
• Monitor and support plant equipment installation and launch.
• Review sourcing activities from RFQ to PO for tooling and equipment purchases.
• Work with PC&L team to optimize material flow to the production line.
• Understand Android operations (sequencing, subassembly, shipping and receiving).
• Ensure equipment certification and run-off; provide feedback and escalate issues to leadership.
• Ensure proper Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Coordinate with Plant team to transfer lessons learned, best practices, and goals into new production processes.
• Coordinate program change requests.
• Provide Manufacturing Engineering guidance to improve throughput, reduce scrap/rework, reduce cost, and improve quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineer to drive PFMEA, Control Plans, error-proofing, and ensure robust Manufacturing System.
• Promote health and safety in all phases of engineering and launch.
• Maintain equipment records and update databases; protect confidential information.
• Collaborate in a team environment and develop others; lead and mentor where applicable.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in assembly and/or manufacturing; 2+ years of experience with APQP systems.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing is preferred.

Travel

Travel Required: Minimal

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• General understanding of manufacturing processes and Android operations (sequencing, sub-assembly, shipping/receiving, tooling).
• Strong knowledge of tooling, equipment, automation, engineering specifications, and cost reduction in automotive assembly.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities for unusual/difficult problems.
• Strong decision-making skills; ability to grasp technical concepts quickly.
• Proficiency with GD&T, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and leadership teams.
• Working knowledge of IATF quality system.
• Computer proficiency (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); AutoCAD is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
