Physician-SLUCare - Adult Congenital Heart Disease Cardiologist
Full‑time BC/BE Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Cardiologist (Inpatient/Outpatient) at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
About the Program The SLU/SSM ACHD Program is the only accredited center in the region and is recognized by the Adult Congenital Heart Association. It supports adult hospital partners in the SSM network and non‑SSM hospitals in the area. The Cardiology division is housed within the Dorothy and Larry Dallas Heart Center at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, adjacent to our adult SLU/SSM Adult Hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide adult congenital heart disease clinical care with outpatient and inpatient consultative services
Perform and oversee diagnostic testing: echocardiography, advanced imaging, cardiac catheterization and interventions
Participate in electrophysiology and collaborate with cardiac surgery as needed
Teach medical students, residents, and cardiovascular fellows
Engage in multidisciplinary clinical programs and contribute to research initiatives
Participate in statewide and nationwide ACHD advocacy efforts
Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree, board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Cardiology or Adult Cardiology
Medical licensure in the State of Missouri
3‑year ACGME‑accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology or Adult Cardiology
Advanced training or substantial experience in ACHD required
Visa candidates welcome
Faculty Appointment Clinical rank commensurate with experience; appointment with Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
