2Job Title: Production Assembler 2/hr

Job Description

Assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using various tools and assembly process equipment. This position involves cross-training in mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing areas.

Responsibilities

Assemble electrical/mechanical components into finished products.

Utilize screwdrivers and torque wrenches frequently.

Perform hand soldering, depending on the department's needs.

Apply a variety of adhesives and chemicals in the assembly process.

Use computer workstations for record-keeping and testing purposes.

Conduct electronic testing on final assemblies using test equipment.

Undergo training on functions and products within the department.

Perform quality control inspection functions.

Consistently lift up to 40 pounds.

Essential Skills

Proficient with hand tools, small screwdrivers, and torque wrenches.

Experience in soldering and wiring.

Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.

Experience with PCB or small part assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; J-STD certification highly preferred.

Work Environment

Work hours are 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. The workplace requires wearing a smock and safety glasses, both provided, while safety toe shoes are not provided. The production area is large, supporting various lines for Gas and Flame Detection sensors, with a potential strong epoxy smell in certain areas. All candidates will receive cross-training and placement in the department that suits their skills and preferences.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
