Job Description: The Soldering/Assembly Technician will perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including soldering, wiring, and PCB assembly, to produce high-quality components and subassemblies. The role requires adherence to safety standards, quality procedures, and continuous process improvement. Responsibilities:

Complete soldering processes, wire configuration, and cabling assembly. Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations on subassemblies or end products. Assemble complex small assemblies with high quality and efficiency. Maintain clean and orderly work area and follow prescribed safety procedures. Build wiring harnesses, solder, and assemble electrical and electro-optical subassemblies. Follow work instructions, safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions. Use RTV, epoxy, and other adhesives as required. Adjust, fit, or align parts according to engineered assembly processes. Use hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches. Perform visual inspections and functional tests to ensure component operation. Report deviations from standards and conduct quality inspections at specified intervals. Support group objectives for on-time delivery. Follow industry-standard 6S practices and verify use of updated procedures. Crimp cables using a variety of tools. Transport materials up to 25 lbs. Work overtime as needed and perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associate’s degree with 0-2 years of prior related experience. 2+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Office and email navigation. J-STD soldering experience. Experience with manual labor and hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers). Experience reading and following drawings and work instructions. Experience using a microscope for extended periods. Preferred Skills:

Strong mechanical background. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and Bills of Material. J-STD-001 certification. Strong customer focus.
