The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Oracle database administrator to join an on‑program supporting the government financial management processes and systems. In this role, you will support database activities in maintaining multiple Oracle and PostgreSQL databases across multiple environments, both unclassified and classified. You will support CaaS (Cloud as a Service), DevOps, Zero Trust, and custom software development and implementation efforts. You will play a key role in supporting a new data tagging effort. You will be part of a team where complex problem solving and communication skills are critical to success. You will get to contribute immediately in a dynamic, fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.
This position requires strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience interfacing directly with senior government staff. Work location is hybrid with support at client site at least 2 days a week and remote work when not onsite at our client location in the Washington DC commute area.
Responsibilities
Support day to day Oracle and PostgreSQL DBA support activities as well as support to special projects including application rehosting migrations
Perform installation and upgrade of applications, databases, and tools including patching of technology stack and databases
Perform patching tasks for keeping all environments current with vendor patches
Apply database and application performance tuning techniques for keeping all environments at optimal performance
Support and maintain backup and recovery activities and processes utilizing Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager)
Recommend improvements to processes and procedures to increase productivity, reduce maintenance cycles, and improve quality delivery
Provide on‑call support to production environments when required, including some weekend support
Support and maintain password resets for server and database accounts
Work cooperatively with functional and technical staff, to meet timelines and deliverables
Assist in managing and maintaining multiple Oracle and PostgreSQL database instances.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
10+ years experience administering Oracle databases, including versions 12 or newer
7+ years experience administering Oracle WebLogic/Fusion Middleware
5+ years experience architecting database solutions
5+ years experience working with Oracle Identity Management products
2+ years experience administering PostgreSQL databases
Experience supporting Cloud database instances
Experience with DevOps platform (i.e., Azure DevOps, GitLab, Atlassian Suite, Digital.ai)
8570 IAT Level II certification required (i.e. Security+ CE)
Minimum current DoD Secret clearance
Must be US citizen
Desired
Experience supporting Qlik Sense business analytics
Experience supporting Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution databases
Experience with Data Analytics, Data Tagging, Data Transformation
Experience with MySQL and MS SQL Server
