Opening Overview: Schedule: Monday-Friday day shifts 1:5 call rotation Setting: Equal split between outpatient clinic and inpatient consults Duties: Evaluation and management of patients referred for transplant evaluation, post-transplant care, VAD management, and long-term follow-up of non-transplant patients with advanced heart failure Procedures: Endomyocardial biopsy, cardiac catheterization, etc. Support Staff: 9 total AHF cardiologists, full surgical staff EMR: Cerner, Epic Must be board-certified Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Quality bonus Sign-on and relocation package Medical malpractice coverage with tail Paid CMEs If you are interested, please apply to learn more about this opening Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Active unencumbered Cardiologist Internal Medicine Florida state license Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program One year of work experience as a Cardiologist One year of EMR experience Board Certified Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
