Program Overview Our outstanding Pediatric Radiology Fellowship leverages the vast resources of Stanford University, the School of Medicine, Stanford Children’s Health, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH), and pediatric radiology faculty with strong interests in education, research, and subspecialty care. Stanford Pediatric Radiology Fellows are exposed to a high volume of complex cases in a structured, hands‑on educational approach.

Stanford Medicine Children’s Health and LPCH have 461 licensed beds, 590,000 annual clinic visits, 14,000 admissions, 20,000 emergency room visits, 4,000 annual deliveries, over 65 Bay Area locations, and a Level 1 pediatric trauma center. We are home to six centers of excellence: the high‑acuity obstetrical/neonatal service, the Bass Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases, the robust Betty Irene Moore Children’s heart center, transplantation, a high‑volume orthopedic and sports center, and the pediatric brain and behavior center.

Educational Curriculum Devoted to teaching, patient care, translational research, the pediatric radiology faculty subspecialize in neuroradiology, cardiovascular imaging, musculoskeletal imaging, body imaging, nuclear medicine, informatics, fetal/obstetrical imaging, and interventional radiology. The fellowship provides a comprehensive educational curriculum, including didactic lectures, case conferences, and multi‑disciplinary conferences. In addition, elective rotations and research time are provided, and a second year of fellowship to further subspecialize may be available.

Rotation Experience Fellows rotate through various services, including body MRI/CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, and general radiography. They have an opportunity to work closely with radiology residents and medical students.

Prerequisites Prerequisites for entering this program include a valid California Postgraduate Training license or Medical License and completion of a Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
