Job Description The Medical Technologist analyzes biological specimens integrating instrument operation, maintenance, and control/calibration with patient data and test results to provide accurate, reliable and timely information for preventing, diagnosing, or treating disease. Ensures compliance with quality control and quality assurance programs to affect the highest quality patient care.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree is required.
Certification as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), National Certification Agency (NCA), or deemed registry eligible as a Medical Technologist by the ASCP, or Clinical Laboratory Technologists (Health Education and Welfare) (CLT) (HEW) or be a graduate of a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) accredited School of Medical Technology and registry eligible.
