Position Summary:
Augusta University’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology invites applications for the Section Chief, OB/GYN Urogynecology. The successful candidate will serve at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in a non‑tenure track faculty role, leading the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). Responsibilities include direct patient care, teaching, and development of the division’s clinical, educational, and research agenda.
Responsibilities
Lead and mentor junior faculty and clinical staff, fostering evidence‑based, patient‑centered care.
Develop faculty and clinical programs, supporting growth in research, national service, and scholarly publication.
Provide instruction and supervision to residents, fellows, and medical students.
Deliver lectures, attend Grand Rounds, M&M Conferences, Journal Club, and division meetings.
Participate in mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Required Qualifications
MD with licensure or eligibility in Georgia; 5+ years of clinical and teaching experience.
Board certified or eligible in OB/GYN or Urology.
Board certified or eligible in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery.
Associate Professor (mid‑career) or Professor (senior) with at least five years at the requisite rank.
Demonstrated teaching, scholarly activity, and compliance with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools accreditation standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic pelvic reconstructive surgery.
Commitment to patient safety, educational excellence, and innovative clinical research.
Leadership experience.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
Competitive and commensurate with experience; subject to availability of funds.
