$21.00 - $35.30/hour *This pay band depends on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Competitive Shift Differentials:
Earn more with our shift differentials! Weekday Night (Mon-Thu 6p to 8a): $3.50 Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8a to 6p): $3.50 Weekend Night (Fri-Sun 6p to 8a): $5.00 As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will: Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment. Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning. Additional responsibilities include: Understanding normal vital sign ranges and interpreting blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to changes. Identifying patients at risk for arrest and initiating CPR. Calculating medical math, administering medications appropriately, and performing phlebotomy and IV catheter placement. Placing and maintaining feeding tubes and central line catheters. Mentoring and training staff, and addressing client concerns with patience and empathy. Why BluePearl?
