PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATION STATEMENT: In the performance of your respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and service agencies. Report directly to the DOM. POSITION PURPOSE: Serves as the 121 General/Accountable Manager. Direct supervisor of Heavy Check Line Supervisors, Lead Technicians, all maintenance technicians, and administrative personnel at the heavy maintenance facility. Coordinates activities with VPM, DQ/CI, DOM, DO, Safety, CASS Analyst, Heavy Check Line Supervisor, Lead Technicians, Lead Planner, Maintenance Training Manager, ICM, and Parts Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Serve as liaison with the FAA Certificate Management Office regarding the 145 Repair Station. Manage a staff of operational and administrative direct reports. Lead and ensure proper application of company policies, maintenance procedures, and FAA regulations. Coordinate aircraft induction and shop schedules during repair station operations. Participate in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft discrepancies per technical data. Supervise and assist maintenance personnel to ensure work is completed on schedule and compliant with regulations. Train maintenance personnel in work practices and safety precautions. Monitor the maintenance induction schedule to maximize productivity cost-effectively. Complete vendor audits and maintain records, monitored by the quality department. Maintain records per Part 145; audit work packages for accuracy and compliance. Communicate with clients regarding quotes, inspections, and quality assurance at delivery. Maintain positive relationships with the FAA and clients. Ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of facilities and equipment. Ensure inspections are properly performed and documentation is complete and compliant. Oversee maintenance for FAR 121, 125, 129, or 135 carriers under a Continuous Airworthiness Program. Ensure compliance with Contract Maintenance regulations. Make proper entries in maintenance logs and work orders per CFR Part 43. Ensure technicians perform work according to guidance and regulations. Ensure documentation is legible, complete, and submitted timely. Promote safety organization-wide. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Oversee the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of aircraft components per manuals and FAA guidance. Contribute to CASS and SMS programs with technical data and input. Perform housekeeping duties and maintain company property. Ensure employees complete timecards and wear uniforms as required. Enforce policies, customer protocols, and requirements. Ensure employees are trained and continuously improve their skills. Perform inventory audits and address FAA or auditor findings. Ensure safety, reliability, and economy through proactive maintenance and resource management. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field; FAA A&P Certificate; meet 14 CFR 65.83. Minimum: 5 years maintenance experience in Part 121, 135, or 145, including 3 years in management roles. 5 years of budget management experience. 3 years of accountable manager experience with ops specs authority. Strong FAA regulation knowledge across Parts 43, 65, 91, 135, 121, 145. Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Availability for nights, weekends, and travel. Flexible, communicative, industry-aware, and leadership-oriented. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Direct supervision of Heavy Check Line Supervisors, Lead Technicians, and maintenance staff at the heavy maintenance facility. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: ATR Fam Course. Airworthiness Release Authorization. Receiving Inspection. General Safety. Quality System Awareness. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: Primarily office work, with potential exposure to noise, chemicals, and temperature extremes in the maintenance facility.
