The Maintenance Controller coordinates in-service maintenance activities on MAC aircraft, working with MAC maintenance AMTs, pilots, flight followers, parts personnel, the VP/DOM, DQ/CI, and outside agency personnel to ensure the efficiency and safety of the maintenance organization. Responsibilities/Duties:
Log all open discrepancies of on-line MAC aircraft. Process parts requests. Assist troubleshooting aircraft as required. Review and correct paperwork from line stations promptly. Update the MAC II system accurately with all pertinent information. Issue and track DMI, MCO, and NEF items; maintain the NEF listing. Issue Special Flight Authorization Forms when approved. Coordinate aircraft parts and personnel movement with company personnel. Promote safety, security, quality, and regulatory compliance. Communicate with the Flight Department on maintenance support issues. Handle mechanical delays safely and expediently. Ensure maintenance activities comply with policies, regulations, and manuals. Investigate aircraft write-ups and schedule maintenance accordingly. Coordinate with other departments to expedite work or maintain schedules. Verify aircraft airworthiness and compliance with FAA and manufacturer standards. Coordinate aircraft movements with Scheduling and OCC. Inform management about aircraft status. Review aircraft records for release. Action auto-generated Maintenance Critical Alerts from MAC II. Ensure inspections are completed before aircraft dispatch. Prepare aircraft for departure upon ADHOC flight requests. Maintain aircraft fleet status. Perform additional tasks as directed by the ADOM. Qualifications:
Must hold a current A&P License. Strong command of English, written and verbal. Special Position Requirements:
Thorough understanding of the MAC II system. Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint. Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for maintenance performed by Class III ACMP, including documentation and references. Training Requirements:
Attend Company Indoctrination. Work in a line environment as determined by the ADOM. Complete deice, fuel, and ground operations training. Complete ten practical MEL applications. Complete part receiving, airworthiness release, RII, and engine run/taxi training. Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
