Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing patients' conditions, and administering medications according to prescribed dosages and schedules. Wound Care and Dressing Changes: Perform basic wound care and assist with dressing changes as required to promote healing and prevent infections. Medication Administration: Administer medications, including oral, intramuscular, and intravenous medications, while adhering to proper dosage and safety protocols. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medications, treatments, and self-care techniques to promote health and wellness. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, medication administration records, and progress notes. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, including physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Assisting with Procedures: Assist with medical procedures, treatments, and diagnostic tests as directed by the healthcare team. Infection Control: Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment for patients and staff. Monitoring and Observation: Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions or reactions to treatments promptly to the nursing team. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility, as needed. Patient Safety: Ensure patient safety by implementing fall prevention measures, using proper lifting techniques, and maintaining a hazard-free environment. Professional Development: Stay updated with current nursing practices, attending training sessions, and seeking opportunities for professional growth and development. Requirements
Valid and current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the respective state. Completion of an accredited LPN program and relevant nursing education. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing procedures and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care.
