Position Details Location: Macon, GA, United States Job ID: 143392 Job Family: Radiology Services Status: Full Time Shift: Variable Schedule: 2 16-hour shifts, 3p-7a Department: 12011053139321-CT Scan Job Responsibilities Perform duties related to acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation, and archiving of CT images under indirect supervision. Ensure patient care and safety in the CT Department. Position patients and use appropriate techniques to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomy, judging image quality prior to radiologist review. Perform venipuncture for radiopaque media and assist with informed consent as needed. Review imaging requests for appropriateness, communicating with radiologists for questionable orders. Take verbal orders from providers and enter them into the RIS system accurately. Maintain records per regulatory standards and document billing codes for procedures performed. Collaborate with radiologists and work independently with providers outside the department. Monitor patient status during exams and intervene or contact caregivers as necessary. Guide and mentor other personnel, including student radiographers. Identify and resolve problems, reporting critical issues appropriately. Use supplies and equipment efficiently. Maintain continuing education and certifications relevant to the modality. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Graduate of an AMA, JRC, or regionally accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT Registered or eligible for registration. ARRT CT registry required as per Work Instruction EMP 8.
