BIM/GIS Coordinator - Virtual Design and Construction Triangle DeCon Services, Inc. is a boutique full‑service real estate advisory firm focused on project development and construction management for private developers and public organizations in Southern California. Our team includes licensed engineers, PMPs, DBIA members, and building contractors.

Job Summary This full‑time position with the Los Angeles Community College District involves applying BIM and GIS to the BuildLACCD program in collaboration with the BIM Manager.

Responsibilities

Monitor and reconcile Design and Construction Team submittal data for GIS and asset tracking.

Collect and QA/QC CMMS data for Bond‑impacted facilities and infrastructure, including:

Review and upload equipment data from completed As‑Builts to CMMS.

Review and upload GIS spatial data (building spaces, hardscape, landscape, infrastructure, security features) to CMMS.

Manage and maintain as‑built information for Bond‑impacted projects by researching data in SharePoint, DocView, or other sources, producing files/reports such as:

CAD/BIM As‑Built drawings.

Review BuildLACCD CAD standards and manage drawings through Bluebeam:

Manage Bluebeam Studio sessions.

Provide Bluebeam training.

General tech support.

Support As‑Built/M&O data delivery review at Ops closeout for current Bond projects with:

Manage Bluebeam Studio sessions.

Provide Bluebeam training.

General tech support.

Support SharePoint record drawing database for BuildLACCD and LACCD:

Research data.

Manage ProjectWise database.

Upload/download files.

Manage users.

Provide training.

Provide monthly reports.

General tech support.

Provide BIM submittal tracking:

Review submittals for BuildLACCD standards and BIM scope.

BIM submittal coordination between college project teams and design/construction teams.

BIM 360 Model reviews/administration.

Collaborate with BuildLACCD and LACCD teams to develop BIM and GIS scope of services:

Provide support for ESRI ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online platforms.

Review GIS and BIM deliverables for ArcGIS Online integration.

Conduct site walks and spot checks, including LIDAR, GPR, GPS, and photography.

Travel to all BuildLACCD and LACCD project sites to provide QA/QC and field data collection (≈30% of scope).

Site investigations: visit construction sites to locate and verify existing utility infrastructure.

Conflict resolution: identify potential conflicts between proposed construction and existing utilities and advise solutions with college CPT team, Facility, and contractors.

Progress monitoring: conduct field checks to monitor progress and quality of utility installations and relocations.

Documentation and reporting: document field observations and conditions for reports, project files, and client deliverables.

General tech support.

Required Experience

Minimum 6 years recent experience in Architecture or Construction Management with a focus on GIS and BIM.

Advanced GIS concepts, principles, practices, and techniques, including mapping, attribute conversion, transfer, manipulation, and analysis.

Experience utilizing BIM for 4‑D and project coordination/clash detection.

Experience working with Design and Construction teams.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field (or 8 years of experience).

Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of BIM and GIS workflows.

Experience performing modeling and coordination tasks in AutoCAD, Revit, and Map 3D.

Experience performing data management tasks in SharePoint, BIM 360 Docs, and Bluebeam.

Experience performing field survey data collection with ArcGIS Collector.

Strong experience with ArcGIS and Python software, tools, and applications.

Strong relational database concepts, methods, and practices.
