What To Expect We are seeking a highly motivated engineering technician for the Optimus Distribution Team. The team is primarily focused on prototyping, troubleshooting, and debugging harnesses, connectors, and electronics assemblies.
Responsibilities
Build prototype harnesses for multiple platforms including bot, charger, demo systems, and buck conversions to drawings.
Generate simple harness drawings for debug and testing harnesses with assistance from the design team.
Troubleshoot, debug, and repair prototype harnesses.
Document failure modes and communicate them to the design team with recommendations.
Train other technician groups to build harnesses at scale.
Qualifications
Hands‑on experience with harness building.
Tool proficiency: crimpers, strippers, multi‑meters, soldering irons, hand tools, and power tools.
Experience with Jira, 3D printing, and oscilloscopes is highly preferred.
IPC‑7711/7721 and IPC‑A‑620 knowledge is highly preferred.
