Job Summary Be a Systems Test Engineer working with Mercury's cross functional engineering teams to provide systems integration, verification, and test support to Mercury’s Built SECURE and Edge products.

You will be an integral part of our growing Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) team to ensure that the systems are built, coded, tested and implemented according to systems specifications.

Systems Security Engineering (SSE) and Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) knowledge is desired (though not required).

This position offers the candidate the opportunity to be recognized as an "expert" in the integration and utilization of the full breadth and depth of the product capability.

Job Responsibilities

Analyzing requirements and developing verification approaches to ensure that the final product meets all requirements before production release.

Analyze test and verification data and recommend improvements.

Manage the development of verification test plans and automated test systems to ensure quality.

Measure the capabilities and performance of new and existing products.

Provides support for technical discussions, design reviews, acceptance/regression testing, system installation and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to requirements.

Prepare detailed test plans such as Acceptance Test Plans, test reports, and metrics for internal stakeholders and external customers, including government agencies. Present findings to senior leadership and clients as needed.

Analyzes system performance and identifies risks.

Develop and implement a strategy for systems installation activities Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Follow established procedures and guidelines to configure and install information systems (including hardware and software) that have been purchased by the organization’s customers.

Interfaces directly with customers and provides benchmarking, product demos, and formal technical presentations. Maps customer applications to Mercury products.

May prepare and present sales proposals. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities.

Provide technical support and instruction to staff or customers regarding equipment standards, assisting with specific, difficult in-service engineering. Serves as the main technical contact for large, qualified accounts.

Required Qualification

Typically requires BS or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Typically requires 3+ years working experience Integrating complex hardware, software, and/or firmware systems, identifying critical needs decomposed to system and subsystem features.

Experience validating, verifying, and deploying rackmount servers or embedded systems and sub-components that include Intel processors and/or Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology.

Experience analyzing system performance and identification of risks.

Experience installing and configuration of Linux and hypervisor technologies and will be asked to support analysis of key core technology functions such as BIOS, device drivers, and FPGA-based firmware.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Jama, Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence.

Hands on experience developing inputs (Feature, stories) for Agile development execution.

Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools.

Experience modeling test campaigns using MBSE tools (such as Cameo).
