Pella Corporation is looking for a Residential Sales Consultant for the Des Moines, IA territory. The role demands a confident, outgoing Sales Consultant who is self‑disciplined, enjoys a challenge, and thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment.

Responsibilities

Achieve individual sales and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.

Effectively present Pella solutions to customers by executing the Pella Retail Sales Process during in‑home consultations.

Strive to close the sale during all customer interactions.

Ensure quotes and orders are accurate following the company sales process.

Respond to customer concerns and engage sales support resources to achieve first‑time resolution on all customer problems/issues.

Be available for customer appointments during evenings and weekends, in addition to weekday hours.

Maintain an exceptional level of expertise in Pella products/services and stay abreast of the competitive landscape.

Conduct after‑sales follow‑up with customers and develop lead and referral generation.

Actively represent Pella at company‑sponsored events, invitations to discuss and/or present Pella products, and home shows.

Leverage strong customer database system tools to manage all customer interactions and proactively communicate with customers.

Provide superb customer service and generate referrals from one customer to others.

Skilled at relating to a variety of customers—balances poise and integrity with a service mentality.

Able to negotiate, build value, and address objections towards closing a sale.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices, and ability to learn internal software programs and applications.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four‑year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training.

Motor vehicle record must meet company requirements.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a constantly interruptive environment and prioritize responsibilities.

Travel & Location Local travel will be required to showrooms, job sites, and customer/contractor locations. Must be able to drive to these locations and attend company functions as needed.

Physical Demands Frequent driving, standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus required. Noise level varies from low to moderate in administrative offices to moderate on construction sites.
