We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a fast-growing education company! In this role you will work with Private Equity Reporting, M&A Transactions and monthly hands-on accounting for current business entities. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
Job Description
Oversee all aspects of the general ledger for multiple entities
Assist with financial statement audits and income tax preparation
Ensure complete, accurate, and up to date financial statements and records are maintained via account reconciliations and analysis
Prepare draft financial statements for review
Perform month-end close duties including, but not limited to, journal entries / recurring entries, expense allocations, and balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing and cash receipts / deposits are recorded properly and timely
Manage collection of aged receivables, including weekly status on cash receipts
Requirements
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of GAAP
DOJ / FBI Live Scan Background and TB Clearance
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field and / or equivalent experience and training
5-7 years of accounting experience with some public accounting experience preferred
CPA license a plus
