Power Systems Engineering Manager - Electric Power As a Power Systems Engineer (PSE) Manager, you will lead a talented team of engineers in designing modernization upgrades and retrofits for advanced automated switchgear systems. You’ll collaborate closely with the AES Engineering Manager, PSE Team Leads and the AES Scheduling Engineer to ensure technical excellence, project alignment and seamless execution of engineering and production timelines.

What You Will Do

Manage staffing, development, and performance of a PSE engineering team.

Support PSE engineering team with project execution including design review, schematic review, component testing, verifying and adjusting automation programming.

Monitor PSE engineering team projects for quality, costing, profitability and timeliness.

Provide specialized engineering technical support and consulting services to various areas of the organization.

Manage high‑impact, short and long‑duration engineering initiatives, ensuring quality of automation products and projects.

Design, modify, develop, write and implement software‑programming for generator control switchgear automation applications.

Configure, program and test automation hardware.

Additional Requirements

PLC Software Expertise including Modicon/Schneider Electric, Rockwell/Allen Bradley, and Codesys platforms.

HMI Software Proficiency with tools such as Factory Talk, RSView, Vijeo, Crimson, Kepware, Applicom, and EcoStruxure Machine SCADA Expert.

Microsoft Office Skills, particularly in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited institution, along with 3‑5 years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may also be considered.

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Additional Information

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day‑a‑week schedule in the office.

Travel required: 10–20% (estimated), to support jobsite technical escalation and safety audits.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.

Summary Pay Range $110,520.00 – $165,840.00
