Civil Engineer
to join a dynamic and growing firm specializing in residential, commercial, and municipal land development. This
Contract-to-Hire
position offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that shape communities across Connecticut and New York.
Position Overview As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing infrastructure systems that support sustainable and functional land use. You will collaborate with a close‑knit team of professionals, gain immediate exposure to client projects, and have the potential to grow into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Design stormwater, septic, grading, and drainage systems for diverse development projects.
Create detailed site plans and technical specifications.
Perform hydraulic calculations and contribute to sustainable infrastructure planning.
Engineer systems for roads, sanitary and storm sewers, and stormwater management.
Develop layouts for residential neighborhoods, commercial centers, and municipal facilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2–5 years of experience in land development.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HydroCAD.
EIT certification preferred.
Experience working on multi‑million dollar projects and a diverse portfolio.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with NYC DOB systems (DOB NOW, BIS, eFiling).
Knowledge of NYC Local Laws 84, 87, and/or 97.
Experience conducting field inspections, including ASME boiler tests, EPA Method 9, and cooling tower assessments.
Work Environment & Culture
Based in New Haven, CT, with occasional travel to project sites.
Standard work hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one‑hour lunch break.
Collaborative team of 8–9 professionals focused on mentorship, growth, and client impact.

Minimal overtime expectations and early‑stage management potential.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $25.00 – $40.00/hr
