EMC Engineer , you’ll play a key role in ensuring mission success for NASA Spaceflight Programs. From test planning to analysis, your work will directly impact the safety and reliability of systems that reach beyond our planet. Responsibilities
Provide
systems-level EMC/EMI support
to NASA Spaceflight Programs. Lead EMC analysis, test planning, and circuit test/analysis. Review and evaluate data/waivers on: Electromagnetic interference (EMI) Electrostatic discharge Grounding, bonding, isolation, and wiring integrity Corona effects
Prepare reports, technical documentation, and schedules for design reviews and team meetings. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and NASA stakeholders to ensure compliance with mission requirements. Why Join Us

Ph.D. + 14 years of experience, OR Master’s + 18 years of experience, OR Bachelor’s + 20 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field. Experience & Skills
Proven expertise in
EMC analysis and EMC test planning/procedures
for flight or space hardware. Hands-on background in
critical circuit test/analysis . Knowledge of
MIL-STD-461/-462
standards. Proficiency with PC-based engineering tools. Experience with
ISS hardware and payloads
a plus. Must have experience in EMC analysis, EMC test planning and procedures, and critical circuit test and analysis as related to space or flight hardware and systems. Must have experience in evaluating test and analysis data and waivers in the areas of electromagnetic interference (EMI), electrostatic discharge, corona, grounding, isolation, bonding, and wiring. Familiarity with MIL-STD-461 and -462 is a plus. Must be proficient with PC and appropriate software programs. Experience with ISS hardware and payloads is a plus. MUST BE US CITIZEN FOR GOVERNMENT CONTRACT COMPLIANCE Other Requirements
U.S. Citizenship (non-negotiable for NASA access). STAR ID required for entry to Marshall Space Flight Center. Qualifications
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Electrical Engineering or Physics. Direct experience supporting
NASA Spaceflight Programs , including ISS hardware or payloads. Extensive background preparing EMC/EMI-related reports, schedules, and technical documentation for design reviews. Strong knowledge of NASA, DoD, or aerospace EMC standards beyond MIL-STD-461/462. Demonstrated experience collaborating in multidisciplinary engineering environments. Track record of effectively presenting technical findings to senior leadership, design review boards, and external stakeholders.
