Job Responsibilities

Maintain grant electronic systems and ensure that grant expenditures and receipts are properly recorded.

Interact with grant project directors advising them on grant regulations pertaining to budgets, purchasing, personnel and any other accounting related concerns.

Prepare grant budgets to be submitted w/ grant applications and any subsequent revisions.

Assist in preparation of financial documents SFFA, D38S, GCRS, FPRS and year end reporting packages.

Monitor and maintain system of record keeping which will include tracking of grant development, award and close out.

In addition, prepare monthly summary reports of grant balances, maintain proper files in accordance with federal and state requirements.

File documentation for continuing grants will be verified annually.

Employee will work independently under minimal supervision and supervise Accountant/Fiscal Analyst I.

Minimum And Additional Requirements State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field and professional experience in a related area, such as accounting, auditing, finance, or banking.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources.

A bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in accounting and/or finance.

An associate's degree and four (4) years of experience in accounting and/or finance.

A minimum of one (1) year hands‑on grants accounting experience required. Knowledge of SCEIS is a must.
