Merrick & Company is seeking a full time Senior Electrical Engineer for our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing department to join our team in multiple locations: Greenwood Village, CO; Richmond, VA; Ellicott City, MD; Chattanooga, TN; Tulsa, OK. This business unit supports industrial food & beverage, refining, power, and advanced biofuels markets. The position is full‑time, hybrid schedule, relocation considered. Typical annual pay range: $125,400 – $162,300. What You'll Do

Serve as project lead on major projects and moderate scope projects. Develop electrical design documents and drawings. Analyze, approve and monitor the work of others; lead project meetings and make presentations. Conceptual and detailed design of low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/PAC, HMI’s, process equipment and instrumentation. Perform typical electrical calculations: voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arc flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, grounding. Develop specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment: transformers, switchgear, MCCs. Travel to client project sites to support field walk‑downs and as‑built efforts. Monitor allocated resources to ensure work performed is within project estimates. Work with Design/Engineering Managers to ensure project schedule is met and complete documents for each project. Required Qualifications

Minimum 12 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil and gas or other industrial process industries. Experience developing one‑line drawings, control schematics and wiring diagrams, electrical equipment specifications, power plans, conduit plans, cable schedules, etc. Working knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, etc. Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit or other design software. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college. PE License required. Client projects require US Citizenship.
