Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Integration Engineer II to join our Technology team. In this high‑visibility role, you will collaborate with multiple teams—Marketing, Ecom, Rental, Analytics, Data Engineering and stakeholders—to support Email and SMS communications by building segmentation using the Customer C360 and CDP. You will oversee and optimize omnichannel communications across all brands and touchpoints, building end‑to‑end emails from HTML creative assets to real‑time API‑triggered emails and batch email deployments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders (Marketing, CRM, Analytics) to translate campaign and automation requirements into technical specifications.

Work with IT teams to align data access, integration feasibility and compliance requirements.

Design, implement and maintain system integrations between Iterable and upstream systems (CDPs, CRMs, eCommerce platforms, data lakes).

Develop and support data pipelines (batch and real‑time) to deliver audience, event and transactional data into Iterable.

Own and optimize API‑based integrations using Iterable’s REST API and event/webhook framework.

Implement robust data mapping and transformation logic to align source data structures with user profiles, custom events and catalog data models.

Create and manage workflow automation and trigger logic for event‑based campaigns (abandon cart, lifecycle messaging).

Monitor and troubleshoot data sync failures, message delivery issues or journey logic errors using logs, diagnostics and monitoring tools.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Data Engineering, Analytics, DevOps) to ensure campaign readiness and data accuracy.

Document workflows, create runbooks and implement alerting/monitoring (Datadog, PagerDuty).

Maintain configuration‑as‑code practices using Git for templates, journeys and integrations.

Implement data quality checks and schema validations to prevent malformed records from impacting campaigns.

Leverage Iterable’s experimentation features (A/B tests, control groups) by integrating test segments and tracking metrics.

Drive platform scalability by optimizing audience sync strategies, reducing payload sizes and managing API limits.

Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (CCPA, GDPR) through consent management, data retention logic and suppression handling.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

5+ years experience integrating and supporting enterprise email/SMS platforms such as Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, or similar.

Strong proficiency in building and managing API‑driven workflows, including RESTful integration and webhook/event handling.

5+ years experience in SQL and working with relational databases or data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines for syncing customer profiles, events and catalog data into messaging platforms.

Familiarity with ETL tools and scripting languages for custom transformations and automations.

Strong understanding of data mapping, schema validation and identity resolution in omnichannel marketing contexts.

Solid grasp of email/SMS deliverability principles, consent management and compliance (CAN‑SPAM, GDPR, CCPA).

Experience with CI/CD, Git and configuration‑as‑code for platform assets (templates, journeys).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for coordinating across Marketing, Data Engineering and Analytics teams.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.

Experience supporting retail or multi‑brand environments, including segmentation and personalization at scale.
