What You’ll Do
Utilize advanced tire and vehicle testing capabilities, along with modeling and simulation technologies, to support performance assessments. Drive innovation within the team by advancing virtual tire development methods and creative problem‑solving approaches. Collaborate with vehicle OEMs to enhance the efficiency, quality, and robustness of virtual tire and vehicle development processes. Partner with simulation and testing teams to conduct tire force & moment testing, instrumented vehicle testing, and performance simulations. Work closely with tire design teams to provide data‑driven recommendations for tuning tire characteristics to meet vehicle performance goals. Benchmark and assess tire/vehicle system performance through comprehensive modeling, testing, and simulation efforts.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Physics, or a related field is required. Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the automotive industry, preferably with a vehicle OEM or in vehicle dynamics and/or tire modeling. Experience with vehicle modeling and simulation tools (e.g., CarMaker, VI-Grade, CarSim). Proficiency in tire modeling and force & moment prediction software (e.g., MF-Tire, CD-Tire, F-Tire).
What Will Set You Apart
Additional language(s) such as French, German, Japanese, Korean, or Chinese. Knowledge of data acquisition and processing software and functional system development approach (V-model). Proficient computer programming skills. (MATLAB, Python, etc.). Familiarity with instrumentation and sensor installation.
