About this opportunity The Sales Manager for Italy will manage customer portfolios, account manage existing clients, and develop new business for Crown, with a focus on the Italian market. The role involves close collaboration with sister plants across Europe to meet customer needs and market demand for Crown beverage cans. The position is based in Parma, with up to 20% travel required.
Main Responsibilities
Acheive sales volumes, value, and pricing targets in line with budget and objectives Analyse competitor and industry trends to support strategic decisions Identify and evaluate new market trends and business opportunities Develop new business to grow Crown's market share Collaborate with customers to gather and analyse short- and long-term forecasts Coordinate with Parma and European plants to ensure production aligns with customer demand Monitor and manage customer inventory levels per contractual agreements Liaise with Art & Repro for design development and approvals Maintain regular contact with key accounts and represent Crown professionally Conduct proactive visits to customer and filling locations to strengthen relationships Lead a team of customer service admins to ensure smooth operations
Required Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Business or Engineering Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, account management, or business development Knowledge of the metal packaging sector
Required Skills and Competencies
Native-level Italian and fluent English Strong numerical skills, budgeting experience, and proficiency in Excel Self-motivated and able to work independently IT literate Excellent interpersonal skills: negotiation, organisation, and influence Ability to work under pressure SAP knowledge is a plus
