Anatomic Pathologist

Job Description Overview Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anatomic Pathologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals / Kings County. The hospital operates a Level 1 Trauma Center and maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Kings County Hospital is located in Brooklyn, serving a diverse patient population, primarily Afro-Caribbean, with English as the main language. Knowledge of French or Haitian Creole is helpful but not required. Responsibilities Review and sign out surgical pathology biopsies, excisions, and resections Review and sign out cytopathology cases Prioritize malignant cases and participate in daily peer review conferences Complete cases within the required turnaround time (TAT) Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, departmental meetings, and training Assist in surgical pathology service management and quality improvement Instruct residents in surgical pathology and cytopathology Participate in other clinical activities as needed Qualifications NY State Medical License Completion of an accredited residency/fellowship in Pathology 1+ years of experience preferred; new residents and fellows are encouraged to apply AP / CP Board Certified or Board Eligible Benefits Malpractice insurance provided Hourly rate: $106.77 Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is a large, diverse employer committed to equal opportunity and inclusion.
