Base Pay Range
$98,000 – $110,000 per year FP&A/Budget Analyst – 100% Remote (DMV)
CFS is partnering with a nonprofit organization located in Baltimore, MD (21218). Due to a new project, they are looking to bring on a FP&A/Budget Analyst on a contractual basis for 6–8 weeks to design a comprehensive, Excel‑based budgeting and forecasting model from the ground up. This model will support both operating and capital budgets, integrate departmental roll‑ups, and align with the organization’s unique financial structure that blends nonprofit and enterprise components. The role is fully remote for candidates local to the DMV area. Working hours are M‑F 9 am‑4 pm, with flexibility as needed. The analyst reports to the Director of Finance. Pay: $45–53 per hour, depending on experience. Job Duties
Develop department‑level budget tabs for five departments, linked dynamically to a master organizational roll‑up. Track capital budget module project‑level expenditures (e.g., acquisition, rehab, equipment) with funding source mapping. Implement forecasting functionality projecting 12‑24 months ahead. Provide built‑in variance analysis, scenario toggles (Actual vs. Projection), and cash‑flow integration. Ensure alignment with general ledger accounts and departmental reporting framework. Qualifications
Proven experience building dynamic, multi‑department financial models in Excel. Experience with nonprofit finance and budgeting. Background in housing (buy‑rehab‑sell) or capital project environments is a plus. Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ability to work independently, communicate progress clearly, and deliver a clean, auditable model. Experience with Sage Intacct or similar financial systems is a plus. Candidate should ideally have their own laptop; company can provide one if absolutely necessary.
