Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in PFP Program
Join the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder as an Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor in the Finance Division, starting in Spring 2026 or Fall 2026. This non‑tenure position primarily involves teaching courses within the Personal Financial Planning (PFP) Program, a CFP Board‑registered curriculum, and actively contributing to initiatives that support the growth of the PFP Program.

Responsibilities
Teach seven courses per academic year—undergraduate and graduate—across fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Engage with the Leeds Centers and divisions that collaborate on curriculum delivery for the assigned courses.
Support PFP Program initiatives, including curriculum and course development, student recruitment, community outreach, and experiential learning opportunities.
Qualifications
A master’s, Ph.D., J.D., or Ed.D. in Personal Financial Planning, Finance, Consumer/Family Economics, or a related field.
Professional practice experience directly related to personal finance, personal financial planning, or wealth management.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness in a Personal Financial Planning curriculum.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
For an Assistant Teaching Professor: a record of teaching excellence and a potential for leadership contributions.
For an Associate Teaching Professor: a more extensive teaching record, experience in program development, professional engagement, and evidence of leadership within academic or professional settings.
Desired Skills
Professional certification in personal finance, personal financial planning, or wealth management (e.g., CFP®, ChFC®, PFS, CFA).
Experience teaching courses in a CFP Board‑registered education program.
Experience recruiting, advising, mentoring, and supporting student academic and professional development in financial services.
Experience building and maintaining relationships with community partners, alumni, and other stakeholders.
Active membership in relevant professional organizations.
Salary and Benefits Salary:
Assistant Teaching Professor $133,000–$140,000; Associate Teaching Professor $140,000–$146,000.
