Master Electrician (DOE-F) Employer: EMCOR Group, Inc. (EMCOR Government Services) – Licensed Master Electrician needed for a Department of Energy facility in Washington, D.C.

Job Summary: Perform all electrical trade functions including installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of motors, switchgear, circuit breakers, lighting circuits, master clocks, and distribution panels. Conduct preventive maintenance and service calls, supervise subcontractors, troubleshoot electrical issues, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.

Work Schedule Wednesday – Friday 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm and Saturday – Sunday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am. Must have or be able to obtain an L‑Level Security Clearance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform all electrical trade functions for installation, maintenance, and repair.

Inspect, maintain, clean, repair, test, and adjust electrical equipment including motors, switchgear, breakers, lighting circuits, clocks, and panels.

Conduct preventive maintenance and service calls.

Perform inspections.

Supervise subcontractors.

Troubleshoot electrical problems.

Qualifications

Current Master Electrician License (DC or MD).

Minimum five years of experience as an electrician.

General knowledge of motors, switchgear, emergency generation, UPS, fire, HVAC, and related electrical building systems.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Troubleshooting skills.

Must currently have or be able to obtain an L‑Level Security Clearance.

Availability to work the specified schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate: $48.81 / hr.

Benefits: Health and welfare benefits consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.

Other compensation: none.
