Job Summary Under the direction of the Transportation Director, and working as part of a team, the Driver Trainer is responsible for program duties related to driver training supporting the general education process.

Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description.

Salary Range:

$35.91-$40.15 per hour Driver Trainer per the 2025-2026 Public School Employees Salary Schedule

Work Hours:

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Work Year:

8 hours/day, 5 days/week, Monday through Friday, 12 months/year

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid Washington State Driver's License, with acceptable driving record.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), (Washington State Class B with passenger "S" for school bus driver, and air brake endorsements) with valid Washington State Bus Driver certification, obtained by the successful completion of school bus driver training class.

Maintain a valid Driver Trainer certification (renewed annually).

First Aid/CPR with AED certificates.

Medical exam every two (2) years.

Selected applicants must be willing to take, and must pass, a physical abilities test, at the district's expense.

Blood Borne Pathogen Training, provided at time of hire.
