Key Position Details
1.0 FTE position. 10 hour work days.
Mix of inpatient/outpatient care
Role supports general cardiology patients.
EMR: Excellian is one of the most comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) systems in the nation.
Job Description Principle Responsibilities
Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree — Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant Program Required.
Preferred Qualifications
New graduates may be considered. Minimum 2 years experience in cardiology or ICU.
Licenses/Certifications
Certification as a Physician Assistant — NCCPA — National Commission Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) — American Nurse Credentialing Center or (AANP) American Association for Nurse Practitioners required upon hire.
Licensed Registered Nurse — MN Board of Nursing required upon hire (NP candidates)
Active MN NP/PA license (or ability to obtain).
BLS certification required within 180 days of hire.
Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges.
Physical Demands Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently.
Pay Range Pay Range: $55.24 to $76.43 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
