EyeKrafters Medical Optics is seeking a part-time Associate Optometrist to join its flourishing practice in South Plainfield, New Jersey. Serving families throughout Edison, South Plainfield, Plainfield, and Piscataway areas, the practice lives by its mission to be at the forefront of eye care and the latest advancements to ensure custom‑tailored solutions—preserving the precious gift of sight. The practice also features one of the area’s largest optical departments with an on‑site finishing lab and Santinelli edger. An Ophthalmologist is available monthly for cataracts and glaucoma consultations.
What You Will Do Caring for patients with their best interests in mind, you’ll practice in a tech‑forward, modern clinic and provide comprehensive optometry to patients of all ages and with visual and medical conditions. The daily practice flow consists of 13 to 17 patients per doctor. You’ll have access to the industry’s most advanced technology, including Humphrey VF, Zeiss OCT, Kowa fundus camera, Topcon KR‑1W autorefractor, topographer wavefront aberrometer, Topcon digital refraction systems, Telscreen anterior segment camera/video, DGH pachymeters, iCare tonometer, DGH, and B‑SCAN. The position can be part‑time or full‑time.
Who We’re Seeking A patient‑centric doctor with a calm, friendly demeanor who can empathize with patients will be a perfect fit. You must also be business‑minded or excited to learn about the business side of optometry—and the many things they don’t teach you in school! A candidate with prior experience in scleral lenses, vision therapy, and myopia management will be an asset to the team. You’ll play a critical role as the practice introduces specialties, improve efficiencies, teaches new employee skills, and continues to meet its business goal of 5 – 8 % growth annually.
Minimum Qualifications
Optometry license in the state of New Jersey

Vision therapy
