We are seeking a detail‑oriented CNC Programmer to join our in‑house engineering team. This position works closely with our design, drafting, and production departments to translate shop drawings into efficient, machine‑ready files for our CNC routers.
Please note: This is a full‑time, in‑house position based in Bayport, NY. Remote work is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret architectural and shop drawings (AutoCAD, hand‑drawn, or 3D models). Use iX, AutoCAD, and EnRoute to generate CNC programs and tool paths. Process cabinet and millwork models for CNC cutting using CAM software. Maintain accuracy and alignment between design models and CNC output. Collaborate daily with drafters and designers. Collaborate daily with shop foreman and machine operators. Collaborate daily with executive and production management teams. Support or assist with occasional drafting tasks (if skilled in AutoCAD/iX). Qualifications
2–5+ years in millwork, cabinetry, or CNC‑based manufacturing. AutoCAD proficiency (essential). Exposure to CAM software (iX, EnRoute, Cut Rite, WoodWOP, etc.). Excellent attention to detail and file accuracy. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot CNC and toolpath issues with the shop floor. Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work full‑time (start time between 7:00–8:00 AM). Some Saturday availability may be required. Training available for the right candidate
Candidates with drafting or cabinet engineering experience are encouraged to apply, even if CNC experience is limited. Benefits
