Clinical Research Coordinator 1 – CRANE Lab

The Clinical Research Coordinator 1 supports the planning, execution, and monitoring of research protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safeguarding study participants.
Core Job Functions
Performs chart review/pre‑screening activities to determine study participant eligibility and coordinates simple clinical research protocols.
Manages routine study activities including data collection, maintenance of study timelines, scheduling study visits, and project evaluation.
Conducts moderate to complex research tests/experiments and adapts procedures for quality improvement under supervision.
Operates clinical research equipment, troubleshoots operational failures, and follows technical instructions.
Observes and reports adverse events to the PI/supervisor and addresses protocol deviations and unanticipated occurrences.
Ensures adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements and maintains study‑specific regulatory binders.
Maintains requisite safety, equality, research conduct, and educational training.
Adheres to University and unit‑level policies and protects University assets.
Core Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Health Sciences, Pharmacy) required.
Experience Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Learning agility – ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols.
Teamwork – effective collaboration with interdisciplinary research teams.
Technical proficiency – skilled in office software, technology, and data management tools.
Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
