Job Summary

The Compliance Specialist reviews Affordable Housing applications and ensures they are eligible and compliant with current regulatory requirements, specializing in HUD and LIHTC.

Key Responsibilities

Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws.

Ensure review of files within 24 hours of receiving them.

Adhere to all policies and procedures as set forth in the personnel manual.

Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and implement necessary modifications.

Attend TDHCA trainings annually and complete HCCP training within the first two years of employment, earning a passing score to receive the HCCP designation.

Participate in all tax credit reviews conducted by outside entities.

Travel up to 50% of work time annually for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business‑related activities.

Education & Experience

Knowledge of the HUD program required.

Strong organizational skills and a detail‑oriented approach.

Excellent computer literacy, including RealPage Onesite Tax Credit software.

Housing Credit Certified Professional certification a plus.

Good verbal and written communication skills.
