Position Overview The Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing Affordable Housing applications and ensuring they are eligible and compliant with applicable and current regulatory requirements. This role specializes in HUD, as well as LIHTC. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote work with travel to property locations across Atlanta as needed.
Responsibilities
Review Affordable Housing resident files for eligibility and compliance with all required laws.
Process files within 24 hours of receiving inquiries.
Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth in the personnel manual.
Monitor changes in LIHTC regulations and implement modifications as indicated.
Attend TDHCA trainings annually and HCCP training within the first two years of employment, achieving a passing score for HCCP designation.
Participate in all tax credit reviews by outside entities.
Travel 50% of work time annually to property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business‑related activities.
Qualifications
Knowledge of HUD programs required.
Strong organizational skills and a detail‑oriented approach.
Strong computer literacy skills; RealPage OneSite Tax Credit software proficiency.
Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) certification a plus; if not already certified, complete HCCP training within the first two years, achieving a passing score.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
