The Physics Department at the University of California, Berkeley is conducting an open search for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Theoretical Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) Physics. Applicants from across the full range of theoretical AMO sub‑fields—including quantum simulation, many‑body quantum mechanics, emergent phenomena, entangled systems, quantum information science, quantum optics, precision measurement, tests of fundamental physics, ultracold molecules and chemistry, ultrafast optics, and related areas—are encouraged.
