Overview
Presbyterian Healthcare is hiring a
Senior Business System Analyst
to formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. The role devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, operating time, and desired results.
This position includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The analyst will work at the highest level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of technology applications to both current and future business environments.
Location: Rev Hugh Cooper Admin Center, Albuquerque, NM. Full‑time position, exempt. Work hours: Monday‑Friday.
Compensation: $34.68‑$52.95 per hour.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the healthcare (Health Plan) domain.
Experience with writing SQL queries, researching issues, and analyzing data.
Experience with Health Plan EDI mapping and processing (including but not limited to 278/837/834/820/835).
Experience writing Business Requirements Documents and EDI Guides.
Multi‑tasker, detail‑oriented, able to adapt to new systems easily, proficient with documentation and Excel.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related technical/business area plus 4 years of IT or business experience.
6 years of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Advanced knowledge of Systems Analysis with a focus on customer requirements and concepts of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison between the application team and the user community, facilitating communications, coordinating system enhancements, and providing production support.
Work with users to define business requirements in sufficient detail for systems configuration, development, enhancement, or operations activities.
Guide users to define business use cases that support quality assurance efforts to verify functional system behavior.
Guide internal QA efforts to verify functional system behavior and acceptance testing.
Educate or train user community members in effective use of the application system.
Provide implementation support for software components of moderate to high complexity.
Provide production support for software components of moderate to high complexity.
