Position Summary Reporting to the Sr. Director, Procurement Strategy & COE, the Director, Strategic Sourcing & IT Category Management oversees sourcing execution and value delivery across all non‑merchandise categories (i.e. IT, Operations, Marketing, HR, Finance, Facilities, Construction etc.). This leader will help develop and oversee a team of sourcing professionals, setting clear execution standards, and will drive for consistent, high‑quality outcomes across the sourcing lifecycle. In partnership with functional leaders, the Director will review and approve sourcing approaches and will strive to secure favorable commercial terms and deliver measurable results in cost savings, risk reduction, and/or service/quality improvements.
Responsibilities
Develop and coach a team of sourcing professionals, setting operating rhythms and execution standards while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
Own and prioritize the sourcing pipeline across all indirect categories, translating business needs into actionable sourcing plans and goals for the indirect sourcing team
Directly oversee IT related sourcing activities and provide category oversight in support of IT business stakeholders
Lead and/or co‑lead high‑impact negotiations/RFx events
Sponsor strategic supplier relationships, setting performance expectations and fostering continuous improvement and intervening (if needed) to help resolve any chronic performance issues
Develop and maintain strong business relationships with all key internal business stakeholders; becoming a trusted advisor
Communicate sourcing strategies and report on final project outcomes to leadership (i.e. savings, cost avoidance etc.)
Establish and standardize tools, templates, and playbooks for the sourcing team
Proactively address any roadblocks (internal or external) that may negatively impact any potential savings/value from being generated
Monitor and communicate any major risks or changing market conditions/dynamics that could negatively impact the business
Working Relationships Collaborates across Finance, IT, Marketing, Operations, Facilities/Construction and other related teams.
Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) ideally in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Preferred Education: Minimum Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing/procurement across non‑merchandise categories; with special emphasis on IT
3+ years leading / managing sourcing professionals
Proven track record of conducting complex, enterprise‑level RFPs/negotiations with measurable outcomes
Hands‑on fluency with eSourcing/CLM/P2P tools and financial modeling (TCO, benchmarking, should‑cost, scenario analysis etc.)
Licenses/Certifications: Preferred Experience: Soft Skills:
Excellent executive communication and interpersonal skills; service‑oriented, collaborative, and able to influence senior stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; manages multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities effectively
Change leadership; drives adoption of sourcing processes/tools and manages resistance with clear roles, timelines, and follow‑through
Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations and deliver durable commercial outcomes
Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities; builds/validates TCO and benchmarks, ensures data integrity, and converts insights into decisions
Proficient in Microsoft Office/O365 (advanced Excel) and sourcing/contracting systems (i.e. eSourcing, CLM, P2P, etc.)
Organized and proactive; anticipates roadblocks, secures decisions, and delivers on commitments
High integrity and sound judgment; balances speed, value, and risk while maintaining confidentiality
Travel:
Ability to travel independently 5%. Hours & Conditions Monday – Friday 8 hour day in office setting.
Physical Requirements Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
