Position Summary: The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will support day-to-day sourcing and negotiation activities across EG’s non-merchandise categories (i.e. IT, Operations, Marketing, HR, Finance, Facilities, and Construction). The analyst will perform financial and market analyses, draft and manage competitive RFx events and support supplier negotiations to help secure agreements that maximize cost savings, reduce risk, and/or result in improved service quality / performance for the business.
Responsibilities:
Draft and manage RFx events in EG’s eSourcing application (Market Dojo)
Work with key business stakeholders to develop SOWS and gather all necessary project requirements
Ensure that RFx events/ project timelines are met; communicating any risks if/when they arise that could result in project delays
Support proposal evaluations, building TCO models, should-cost analyses, and scenario summaries to help inform negotiation strategies and final award recommendations.
Analyze category spend, usage patterns, volumes, budget data, etc. to help identify savings opportunities and demand levers
Track project savings and prepare reports for leadership review
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and other business partners to support contract approval and execution
Working Relationships: External Vendors and Internal stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, etc.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
Preferred Education: Advanced degree in related discipline is a plus, but not required.
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, finance, consulting, or a data analytics role
Preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, finance, consulting, or a data analytics role
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) a plus, but not required.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; service-oriented and collaborative
Strong analytical and financial-modeling capabilities; comfortable with large data sets
Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office/O365 (advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with MS PowerBI or other reporting applications
Pro-active problem solver who identifies data gaps and recommend practical solutions
Change-ready mindset; adapts quickly to new processes, systems, and stakeholder needs
High integrity and sound judgment; handles confidential information appropriately
Other Requirements: Travel: Ability to travel independently 5%.
Hours & Conditions: Typically, Monday – Friday, 8 hour days in office setting, may be able to work 1 day per week from home with approval.
Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
