Job Summary

The D365 Finance and Operations Technical Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the platform’s architecture, capabilities, and best practices, and strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. The Technical Lead collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency. Responsibilities

Experience with D365 FO in a development role. Expertise in providing development solutions in a D365 FO environment. Providing technical support for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) application in a live production environment and troubleshooting user issues. Respond to and resolve production issues reported by users through ticketing systems, identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions. Apply system updates, patches, and hotfixes to production environments, performing thorough testing to minimize disruption. Actively monitor system performance and identify potential issues proactively, including system health checks and performance analysis. Implement performance‑tuning strategies to enhance system responsiveness. Deploy, monitor, and maintain Dynamics 365, add‑ons, and associated business applications. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation and operation of Microsoft Dynamics solutions. Provide technical support for the data platform and its integration with D365. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to data privacy, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Adapt at business requirement analysis with a focus on reducing development effort. Participate in evaluating latest preview releases from Microsoft including Dual Write, RSAT. Review technical architecture deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and requirements traceability. Have overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments until system handover. Validate the design with stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements. Ensure security practices are used and applied throughout the engagement’s lifecycle. Provide guidance to implementation team on various strategic areas such as ALM, environment strategy, integration strategy, data migration strategy, security strategy. Work hand in hand with project managers, program managers and project teams to ensure successful implementations. Ensure services are delivered to SLA and customer satisfaction. Manage D365 environments – maintain and drive regular release calendar; manage schedule for ongoing updates/refreshes; drive and update environment refresh checklist action items; manage UAT/Testing calendars and planning for regular releases. Manage ISV upgrade cadence, issue resolution and manage relationship with ISV providers. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business, or related field. 7+ years of ERP technical implementation (D365 FO, AX 2009, AX 2012‑X++) and integration experience with enterprise clients. Experience in a production support role with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. Knowledge of emerging Microsoft technologies: Azure Cloud Platform, Power BI, PowerApps, Flow, Azure Data Lake, DevOps, RSAT, .NET, C#, REST API. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Good understanding of functional capabilities of D365: Financials, Project Management and Accounting, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing. Experience dealing with ISVs and IPs. Knowledge of end‑to‑end D365FO implementation, including interfacing and integration. Minimum of three full lifecycle ERP implementations leading a technical workstream such as integration, data conversion or extension development. Strong understanding of security roles, LCS (Life Cycle Services) and Azure DevOps. Knowledge of project implementation methodology, LCS and quick adaptation to project needs. Experience working with Common Data Services (Dual Write) for integration with Dynamics 365 for sales and field services. For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $100,289.00 and $133,719.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments.
