Kelly® Engineering is seeking an
Electrical Engineer (Embedded Systems)
for a
contract-to-permanent
opportunity with a leading developer of custom training components used in military and commercial flight simulators. If you’re an experienced analog design engineer who thrives in a hands‑on hardware environment, this role offers the chance to support cutting‑edge simulation systems built for global aviation training applications.
Overview This company, based in
Euless, TX , has specialized for over four decades in designing and manufacturing precision training components used in cockpit simulators worldwide. Their products—ranging from simulated instruments and gauges to multifunction displays and control panels—support both military and commercial flight training.

analog circuit design
as the defining skill set. You’ll handle a mix of analog and digital circuit work (roughly 60/40), while supporting firmware development for embedded systems. This role directly supports the Electrical Engineering Manager by taking ownership of design, testing, and troubleshooting tasks to advance both new and legacy product lines.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and troubleshoot analog and mixed‑signal circuits used in training system hardware.
Create and maintain PCB layouts and schematics using Altium Designer.
Support firmware development for embedded systems, test instruments, and communication interfaces (Ethernet/serial).
Perform hands‑on hardware prototyping, testing, and debugging to verify functional performance and manufacturability.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams to resolve design and product issues.
Assist with documentation, configuration control, and communication with customers as needed.
Provide technical support for existing analog‑based legacy products and assist in integrating modern mixed‑signal solutions.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience designing and supporting analog and mixed‑signal circuits in a hardware‑focused environment.
Proven expertise in analog circuit design and debugging (non‑negotiable).
Working knowledge of digital circuit design and embedded system integration.
Experience using Altium Designer for PCB design and layout.
Proficiency in firmware development for embedded systems using C/C++ or similar.
Familiarity with common communication protocols such as RS232, RS422, RS485, Ethernet, CANbus, SPI, and I²C.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
