Speech Language Pathologist - Acute Rehab (Per Diem, Day)
Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, 1165 Montgomery Dr, Santa Rosa, CA. This position is per diem and will work 8‑hour day shifts.
Overview The practice of speech‑language pathology shall include assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, communication, and demonstration of techniques addressing speech language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to meet the needs of patients and their families with supervisory guidance as needed.
Responsibilities
Conduct functional and diagnostic assessments of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members on disease processes and treatment strategies.
Provide therapeutic feedings and assist with patient transfers.
Assist with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
Document progress and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualities
Master's degree from an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program.
Completion of or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship Year.
Competencies in therapeutic feedings, patient transfers, and assistance with Modified Barium Swallow studies.
California Speech‑Language Pathologist license upon hire.
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Education or training in dysphagia assessment and management.
1 year acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience.
Benefits and Compensation Pay range: $52.25 – $81.10 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, and bonus opportunities.
